| YOUNG INVESTIGATOR TRAVEL AWARDS | ||||||||||||
|
Limited financial support (up to US $1,000 per person) is available to attend the Oct 1-2, 2001 NASCI Workshop, provided by the American Heart Association Council on Cardiovascular Radiology and the NASCI Research and Education Fund, to encourage participation by YOUNG INVESTIGATORS (students, trainees, fellows, PhD Candidates, etc.) and cover part of their travel expenses. Abstracts submitted by such trainees via our web site should also be mailed directly to NASCI via regular mail addressed to Dr. Lawrence Boxt at the NASCI address below. Please include 5 copies of the abstract with a cover letter from the Chairman or Program Director verifying status for competitive evaluation by the NASCI selection committee. |

Consider joining this exciting international group.... Political Advocacy: NASCI Pursues Competency Guidelines for Cardiac Imaging NASCI provides a channel for direct political representation of cardiac imaging within Radiology. NASCI serves an important role in the newly formed Task Force for Cardiovascular Imaging, a working group with representatives from 16 societies that share an interest in improving and promoting the practice of cardiovascular imaging. The Task Force for CVI was formed in July 1999 by the newly created Committee for Cardiovascular Imaging, which is comprised of representatives from the American Board of Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Radiological Society of North America. |
